PETERSON STUDIO WINS AWARD

A wedding album created by Peterson Studio in Wilcox recently won first place honors at the annual print competition of the Southwestern New York Association of Professional Photographers. The album captured the memories of the wedding of Ryan and Heather (Hayes) Smith of Kane . Heather is the daughter of Dohn and Loretta Hayes of Kane and Ryan is the son of Debra Galmish of St. Marys and Terry Smith of Kane.

An entry titled "Shoes Are A Girl's Best Friend" was a senior portrait of Molly Fragale, a senior student at Cameron County High School in Emporium.  This image won first place in the Portrait Category.

The day long seminar and competition held at Chautauqua Lake, NY was attended by photographers from New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Canada. The Southwestern New York Association of Professional Photographers exists to assist its members in achieving their professional, artistic, and fraternal goals; promote public awareness of the profession; and to advance the making of images in all of its disciplines as an art, a science, and a visual recorder of history.
